The location
Pull off Highway 90 and you'll see the auction barn next door — CowTalk was built in cattle country on purpose. The no-fuss dining room and the kitchen's commitment show it.
The cowboy kitchen
Steaks cut thick, sides made with real care, and house-made pies worth a detour. No corporate supply chain — just a kitchen that takes Tuesday night as seriously as Saturday.
Friday night
Every Friday the kitchen puts out an all-you-can-eat Southern seafood spread — catfish, crab cakes, hush puppies, gumbo, and dessert. Families have been driving in from across the region long enough to call it a tradition.
Who eats here
Working ranchers and highway road-trippers end up at the same tables here. The dining room doesn't make a fuss about either — which is exactly why both keep coming back.
